Want to upgrade the Kickstart on your Amiga 500 Rev 5? This adaptor is for you.
New Kickstart ROMs that are being produced are EPROM based and the Rev 5 motherboard of the Amiga 500 isn't able to use one of these newly produced Kickstart ROMs without modifications.
This adaptor allows you to use any Kickstart ROM that is EPROM based. Simply socket the Kickstart ROM into the adaptor and then socket the adaptor into the Kickstart socket.
If you want to run AmigaOS Kickstart 3.2 and have an Amiga 500 Rev 5 motherboard, this is a must as the Kickstart is only available on an EPROM.
