DesTestMAX builds on the foundation of Commodore’s Dead Test cartridge, offering a more comprehensive memory test strategy with clearer, easier-to-interpret diagnostic output.
Using the MAX (or ULTIMAX) cartridge mode, DesTestMAX places code directly in the $E000-$FFFF memory block, allowing it to take complete control of the system immediately upon reset.
Designed to function effectively even with significantly damaged machines, DesTestMAX requires only a functional 6510 CPU, VIC-II, and PLA. The ROMs, CIAs, and SID are not necessary and can even be removed if socketed.
DesTestMAX is the ideal addition to any Commodore 64 diagnostic toolset.
